Biography
The two-time Grand American Daytona Prototype team champions, having earned the title in both 2006 and 2004 – while placing as the runners-up in 2005 and 2007. The series all-time leader in team wins with 15. Lead entry has finished in the top two in the driver’s championship in each of the squad’s four seasons in DP competition. Became just the third team to win consecutive Rolex 24 at Daytona victories when Scott Pruett, Juan Montoya and Salvador Duran won the 2007 event. Team is expected to campaign one full-time entry for the 2008 season and a second entry for the Rolex 24. The Chip Ganassi Racing organization has a long history of success in open-wheel racing, winning the 2003 IRL championship with Scott Dixon. The team also won the 2000 Indianapolis 500 with Juan Montoya, in addition to five open-wheel championships and 43 victories from 1996–2005. CART champions from 1996–1999.
