ROJAS THIRD IN UTAH QUALIFYING

TOELLE, Utah (Sept. 18, 2009) – Memo Rojas qualified third for Saturday’s Rolex Sports Car Series event at Miller Motorsports Park.

Rojas turned in the 10th consecutive top-three qualifying effort for the #01 Telmex Lexus, despite being under the weather for much of the day. He will once again team with Scott Pruett on Saturday as the duo chase a second consecutive Rolex Series title.

Tomorrow’s race is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. (EDT), with live SPEED coverage.


Notes:

  • Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas sit second in the championship race, just five points out of the series lead.

  • The Lexus-powered Ganassi team has qualified in the top three in each of the 10 races since the Rolex 24.

  • Lexus will be looking for its 26th win in the series since 2004 and its third victory of the season on Saturday.

  • Saturday’s race will mark the Grand-Am race at Miller Motorsports Park to be run as a sprint race.
