ROJAS PUTS LEXUS ON POLE AT DAYTONAIn addition to the four pole positions, the #01 Telmex Lexus has now qualified on the front row for each of the past six races since the season-opening Rolex 24.
Joining Rojas and co-driver Scott Pruett in today’s field are SPRINT Cup drivers Kyle Busch and Scott Speed in a second Chip Ganassi Racing Lexus. Despite just one previous test session, Busch improved throughout the morning qualifying session to an eventual 11th-place starting position.
Today’s race is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., prior to the evening’s NASCAR SPRINT Cup event.

Memo Rojas: “I’m happy with our lap time. It’s always good to be on the pole and we’re really pleased to be able to keep our streak of front row starts (now six) going. We weren’t happy with our set-up in practice, so we gambled a little in qualifying and, obviously, it paid off.”
