Actor Tim Daly is eager to test his driving skills on the 1.97 mile street circuit in the 2009 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race.

Daly may be best known for his television role as Joe Hackett on the long-running NBC sitcom “Wings.” He is currently starring in season two of ABC’s “Private Practice” from Shonda Rhimes, the Golden Globe-winning creator of “Grey’s Anatomy.” Previously, Daly appeared in several episodes of the HBO hit series “The Sopranos.” Daly received an Emmy Award nomination for “Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series” for this role.

In addition to his acting work, Daly is producing the documentary film “Poli-wood,” directed by Barry Levinson. Daly served as executive producer on the Showtime feature “Execution of Justice,” which won him the GLAAD Award for “Outstanding Made for Television Movie.” He also produced the film “Edge of America,” which opened the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. As the film’s producer, Daly won the Humanitas Prize and the George Foster Peabody Award. The film also received the Writer’s Guild of America Award and a Director’s Guild of America Award.

On the small screen, Daly is the voice of iconic superhero Superman in both the animated series and two animated features.
