

Fregin retired from RIM in 2007 and now works with the Salama Shield Foundation, an African AIDS relief agency in Uganda, and is a significant sponsor for the Center for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) African Initiative. He also is a sponsor of NanoTechnology Engineering programs at the University of Waterloo, Canada, the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, the Waterloo Children’s Museum, and others.
