Best known as one of the leaders on the professional compact drag racing circuit, Christian Rado is looking to speed past competitors and into the winner’s circle at the 2011 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race.

Rado, owner of WORLD Racing, will be putting the pedal to the metal in a Scion tC, the vehicle he has driven to dozens of national records on tracks across the country. In 2010, Rado set a new FWD record at Willow Springs in Rosamond, Calif., where Toyota’s pros and celebrities train for the big day.

No stranger to high speeds and competition, Rado drives in the Comp Eliminator category in the NHRA Full Throttle series, as well as in the Pacific Street Car Association (PSCA) and the National Sport Compact Racing Association (NSCRA). He also competes in time attack events in tCs in National Auto Sport Association (NASA) time trials, Super Street Super Lap Battles and Redline Time Attack.

Rado, a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, utilizes the technology of the Total Boost Controller (TBC-1) from his family’s business, WORLD Electronics (also one of his many sponsors). In 2009, he was the first front wheel drive vehicle driver in history to run a six-second quarter mile.

Highlights:

  • Founded WORLD Motorsports, Inc., in 2002, and is owner of WORLD Racing, a professional drag race, time attack and show circuit team
