Kincaid takes win on Sunday

Crandon, Wisconsin, June 25, 2006 - Jeff Kincaid with his Forest County Potawatomi Toyota Tacoma headed to the Crandon International Off Road Raceway for a weekend of excitement. It was a great weekend to start rounds 3&4 of the CORR Pro-Lite Series here in beautiful Crandon, WI.

On Saturday, June 24th Kincaid entered round three as points leader and was intending to keep the 1st place points position. When the green flag flew, 24 Pro-Lites roared down the famous Oklahoma land rush to the anticipation of the crowd waiting to see the trucks.

With dust flying, it was Kincaid's Tacoma that shot to the front of the field and led the way around turn one. Kincaid pulled away from the rest of the field and built a six second lead over second place Kyle Leduc. Leduc was pushing to catch Kincaid, but Kincaid maintained the lead throughout the race. Things were looking good for Jeff, but then bad luck struck. With two laps remaining, the hub on the rear end broke and ended Kincaid's day. Jeff ended up in the 21st position dropping him to 2nd in points with 41 just behind the new leader Chad Hord with 48.

Sunday, June 25th started off round four for the racers with great excitement to get back on the track. With Kincaid's troubles on Saturday, he was looking for his second truck to take the track. During the off-season Jeff had prepped two identical race trucks for the CORR 2006 season, the theory being that if one broke down you simply bring out the other one. With the Pre-run cancelled due to the wet track, Jeff did not have the opportunity to run the back up truck as planned. So, depending on his backup truck to perform, Jeff looked to rebound from round 3's bad luck and he did just that!

When the green flag flew again on Sunday, 24 Pro-Lites raced for the first corner one more time! This time Kincaid's FCPTT raced down the land rush and was side by side through the first corner with Randy Eller! Kincaid stayed on the gas and blasted ahead of Eller to the screams of the crowd loving every exciting minute of truck-to-truck battle.

Kincaid stated, "I had a blast racing side by side with Eller!" "I knew my Forest County Potawatomi Toyota Tacoma on the BF Goodrich tires would hold the corner so I just held it to the floor and came out in the lead."

Kincaid roared around the 1.75-mile course building his lead up to 12 seconds over second place John Marking. When Chad Hord and Art Schmidt passed Marking, they had their sights set on Kincaid, but Jeff wasn't going to be denied the victory. He held a six second lead when he took his 39th CORR Pro Lite win. Kincaid stated, "The hard work over the off season has really paid off, we just won this race with a truck that hasn't spun a tire." "This is a huge win!"

After this weekend, Kincaid has 61 points, which places him in second place behind Chad Hord who has 64. July 8th and 9th will bring rounds 5 and 6 at Bark River Michigan. Bark River is a very fast course and Kincaid is looking forward to the upcoming race.
