Kincaid Starts 2006 with 2 VictoriesAfter a long winter of fine tuning the race truck it was once again time to start the race season. Jeff was set to defend his 2005 CORR Pro Lite Championship. With 29 entrants in Round 1, Jeff started in the 3rd position, by way of qualifying his time. When the Green Flag flew the 29 Pro Lites raced for the 1st corner, when the Dust settled the Forest County Potawatomi Toyota, with BFGoodrich Tires hooked up, and shot to the front.
Through the race Kincaid maintained 1st position followed by Chad Hord, in 2nd position, about five truck lengths back. With a Mandatory Yellow flag at lap 9, Kincaid pushed to pass 2 lap vehicles, to get some space between him and Hord. As the Green Flag flew for the restart, the Forest County Potawatomi Tacoma again had an excellent restart, retaining 1st position. Kincaid never looked back, held first place for a flag to flag win. "All the hard work over the winter months really paid off," stated Kincaid.
Sunday May 21, 2006 Round 2, Kincaid started in the eighth position due to the inversion. When the Green Flag flew 29 Pro Lites once again raced for the first corner. The Forest County Potawatomi Toyota, was in the third position coming into the corner, out with an excellent move Kincaid never lifted and his BFGoodrich tires stuck to the race course, and Kincaid went around the outside of the corner and the Forest County Potawatomi Toyota came out of the corner in the 1st position. Kincaid held the first position followed closely by Hord and Leduc, running 2nd & 3rd. Kincaid led all the way to the mandatory Yellow Flag. With the field being bunched back up Kincaid had to be on his mark. When the Green Flag dropped for the final laps, Hord pulled to the inside of Kincaid, but the Forest County Potawatomi Toyota was once again up to the challenge, and maintained the 1st position. Kincaid held off Hord to win the race. In doing so, he completed a super weekend for the Forest County Potawatomi Toyota, with two wins in the first two rounds of the 2006 CORR Pro Lite Series.
Rounds 3&4 of the CORR Pro Lite Series, is at Kincaids and the Forest County Potawatomi's home track, Crandon International Raceway, on June 24th & 25th. Kincaid is looking forward to racing at his home track.
