  • Michael Waltrip Racing (MWR) enters its fifth season of full-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition in 2011
  • MWR is owned and operated by two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip and his business partner, Robert Kaufmann
  • The team began competing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series on a part-time basis in 2002 and has been competing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series since 1996
  • In 2007, its debut season with Toyota, MWR fielded three Camrys in Cup competition and one Camry in the Nationwide Series
  • In 2008, MWR fielded three Camrys in Sprint Cup competition and earned one pole position with David Reutimann at Homestead-Miami Speedway, one top-five finish and six top-10 results
  • In 2009, MWR fielded a pair of Camrys in Sprint Cup competition with Reutimann earning his first career win at Charlotte Motor Speedway, marking the inaugural series win for MWR and the first win for a TRD, U.S.A. (Toyota Racing Development) built engine in the Sprint Cup Series
  • In 2010, MWR fielded two full-time Camrys in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with Reutimann and team newcomer Martin Truex Jr., while Waltrip ran a limited schedule in order to focus on ownership full time
