Todd Braun, owner and president of Braun Racing, began his motorsports career competing in the grassroots ARCA Truck Series. After a successful year as a driver, Braun decided to expand his career by becoming an ARCA RE/MAX Series team owner in 2002. In 2003, Braun increased his involvement as team owner by running a limited number of NASCAR Nationwide Series races with various young drivers. That was also the same year he captured his first series victory as a team owner. In 2007, Braun Racing picked up the first win for a Toyota Camry in NASCAR competition when Jason Leffler registered a win at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis. The 2008 season brought another win with Kyle Busch behind the wheel and three pole positions — two by Brian Vickers and one by rookie James Buescher. In 2009, Vickers recorded one pole for Braun Racing and Leffler had 20 top-10 finishes. The 2010 season marks Braun’s ninth year as a team owner (eighth as a Nationwide team owner). In 2010, Braun Racing will enter into NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition with Reed Sorenson behind the wheel of a Dollar General sponsored Camry for a partial NSCS schedule. Braun Racing will also expand to field four cars in the NASCAR Nationwide Series with the addition of Brian Scott in a fourth full-time Camry.
