DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Ground Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

How do you view the Bristol night race?
“It’s a spectator race that most people try not to miss. It’s always the one race that when people ask, ‘I want to go to a race, which one should I go to?’ Everyone always says the Bristol night race. The excitement level is so high, the cars can’t get away from each other, it’s just a half-mile race track and there’s always something going on at every turn.”

MARCOS AMBROSE, No. 47 Bush’s Baked Beans Toyota Camry, JTG-Daugherty Racing

Do you enjoy racing at Bristol?
“Bristol Motor Speedway is one of the best tracks on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series circuit. It is the epitome of NASCAR. I’d like to call it NASCAR’s pizzazz event. We’ve always ran well at Bristol and our best finish is third-place. We’re really looking forward to going back with the No. 47 Bush’s Baked Beans Toyota. I’m hoping to run well because I have around 20 Aussie friends and family coming over to watch. Also, I’ll have my girls -- wife Sonja and daughters Adelaide and Tabitha -- there with me. It’s a fun track and we’ll have a great time.”

NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS)
NEWS, NOTES & NUMBERS: This year, Toyota drivers have combined for 12 wins, 50 top-five results, 98 top-10 finishes and 11 poles after 23 of 35 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) races … Camry drivers Kyle Busch (third), Steve Wallace (seventh), Trevor Bayne (eighth), Brendan Gaughan (ninth) and Jason Leffler (10th) are in the top-10 in the NNS point standings … Busch (third), Sorenson (seventh) and Leffler (ninth) finished in the top-10 at Bristol in March … Toyota is looking for its first NNS victory at Bristol since joining the series in 2007 … Bayne, driver of the No. 99 OUT! Pet Care Camry, is from Knoxville, Tenn.

TREVOR BAYNE, No. 99 OUT! Pet Care Toyota Camry, Diamond-Waltrip Racing

How important is track position at Bristol?
“Track position is huge at Bristol. Before they repaved the track, you stayed single-file and had room to move or bump people out of the way. Now when they’re two- and three- wide, you can get shuffled out in a hurry. We need to qualify well. That will help us stay out of all the havoc that happens in the middle of the pack. They race like maniacs in the back of the pack. You can go a lap down pretty quick at Bristol so you really want to stay with the leaders and stay out of trouble.”

BRIAN SCOTT, No. 11 AccuDoc Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

What is the key to success at Bristol?
“I’ve had some really good runs at Bristol in the Camping World Truck Series, and some really good cars in the Nationwide Series, but I’ve come to realize that Bristol is one of those places that you need luck more than anything. You can have a great car and be really fast, but something can happen and you’re sitting in the garage. If you can go to Bristol with a fast race car, some patience and a lot of luck, you’ll get out unscathed and post a good finish.”

REED SORENSON, No. 32 Dollar General Toyota Camry, Braun Racing

Do you like racing at Bristol?
“Racing at Bristol is always a lot of fun, especially when you have a good car. We battled a slightly loose-handling car there in the spring, but managed to walk away with a seventh-place finish in the Nationwide Series race. The tough thing about Bristol is that it’s one of those tracks where you can have a great car, but if you get caught up in someone else’s mess, your day can go downhill pretty quick. This is the same car that we had there in March and I think we’ll unload a solid Dollar General Toyota this weekend.”

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS)
NEWS, NOTES & NUMBERS: This year, Tundra drivers have combined for eight wins, 35 top-five results, 74 top-10 finishes and six poles after 15 of 25 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) races … Todd Bodine has won the past two NCWTS races, at Nashville (Aug. 7) and Darlington (Aug. 14) … At Darlington, Bodine led the final 47 (of 147) laps en route to victory lane for his 20th career series win (all in a Tundra) … Tundra drivers Bodine (first), Aric Almirola (second), Timothy Peters (third), Mike Skinner (eighth) and David Starr (ninth) are in the top-10 in the NCWTS point standings … Brazilian driver Miguel Paludo makes his NCWTS debut in the Germain Racing No. 77 Tundra at Bristol … Kyle Busch is the two-time defending series race winner at Bristol, winning for Billy Ballew Motorsports in 2008 and 2009 … Skinner won at the half-mile ‘bullring’ in 2005.

TIMOTHY PETERS, No. 17 Wiss Toyota Tundra, Red Horse Racing

Are you looking forward to Bristol?
“I love Bristol. I always look forward to going there. We have run well in the past and we’ve had some really good finishes. We have some momentum on our side and looking forward to getting there. It reminds me of a short track I won a championship on in my Late Model days -- Orange County Speedway -- just on steroids. Who would ever think a race track would be surrounded by stands like that place is? It’s really loud. It’s always exciting. It seems like every time we go there, it’s action-packed. I’m looking forward to being there. With the new track, there’s a lot of ability to move around. We practiced in the middle of the track last year and as soon as the green flag dropped, I was up at the top next to the wall. It’s definitely improved racing with the multiple grooves that they have now.”

TODD BODINE, No. 30 Valvoline Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing

Do you enjoy racing on Bristol’s new surface?
“I loved the old track and I love the new track. It’s like racing in a stadium. You get that same feeling when you go in there. It’s like walking into Michigan Stadium with the fans right on top of you. It’s definitely a neat place. I’ve been fortunate to win twice there and run really well in every series I have run there. I helped them redesign the track and re-engineer it, so I’m pretty proud of that.”

ARIC ALMIROLA, No. 51 Graceway Pharmaceuticals Toyota Tundra, Billy Ballew Motorsports

What are your chances at Bristol?
“I’m excited about going to Bristol. Billy Ballew Motorsports has a pretty good track record there. I’m looking forward to it. We should go there and have a good run. We have a brand new truck going there. I’m really excited. It’s a great race track. You pull in there and you have grandstands all the way around you. It’s like a stadium. That makes it a lot of fun for a driver to go in there and see all the fans around. It’s pretty cool.”
