SCOTT SPEED, No. 82 Red Bull Toyota Camry, Red Bull Racing Team
Starting Position: 8th
How was your qualifying lap?
“It was pretty clean -- I’m not going to lie. I think we found some stuff for qualifying that we hadn’t tried throughout the weekend. It’s really hard because you come to a track like this and in many ways it’s so unique. They don’t give us very much time to practice and test stuff so we’re making progress. Hopefully the thing is as good in race trim. We’ve got some brake stuff that hopefully works out for us in the race. Brakes haven’t been the easiest thing to deal with. If those last throughout the race and we don’t have too many problems with that I think we’ll have a good day.”

How was your car in race trim?
“We just continued making good decisions on what we want to change with the car. It was really good in race trim and the only feeling I have that is a bit weird is I have to pump the brakes so much here because you run over the curbs and they are big stock cars and everything is flexing. I don’t know -- I’m just not used to it. Hopefully I can handle the brakes all race and if that’s the case I think we’ll have a good day.”

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 M&M’s Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 10th
How was your qualifying lap?
“The car was fine.  I broke when I needed to brake everywhere around the track.  I was just too tentative getting back to the gas.”

MARCOS AMBROSE, No. 47 Little Debbie Toyota Camry, JTG-Daugherty Racing
Starting Position: 11th
How was your qualifying lap?
“I had to drive it a little bit which got me into trouble and then I tried to make up for it on the way out of the corners and I just didn’t quite lay down the lap that I wanted to. But, we’re proud of our efforts. We got the pole in the Nationwide Series and going to start from the front and we’re really excited about it.”

Are you disappointed you didn’t get the pole?
“It would’ve been nice to get the pole. It’s kind of my deal -- this road racing thing. I’m proud of my guys. We just left a little bit out there. I didn’t make too many mistakes and we’re going to start in the front couple of rows of the grid hopefully and try and win the race on Sunday.”

Do you feel like this could be the weekend you break through with a win?
“I feel good about it. It’s exciting to be in the Cup Series and contend for race wins. It’s a lot of fun.”

BORIS SAID, No. 83 Red Bull Toyota Camry, Red Bull Racing Team
Starting Position: 13th
How is your race car?
“It’s pretty good.  It was the first time I drove the Red Bull Toyota yesterday and I needed a little bit of an adjustment.  It’s a great team and the cars are really prepared well.  I’m hoping it gives me wings in the race.  We’re getting better and better every time I get in the car.  It’s not the qualifying lap I was looking for.  I was a little too over-aggressive in the ‘bus stop’ and that last left-hander I kind of over-drove it.  I feel like I let the team down a little bit.  Hopefully that will keep us in the top-15 and then we’re in the hunt.”

Do you need to make more adjustments?
“It just takes seat time.  I haven’t been in one of these since June in Infineon and these guys are in them week in and week out.  They’re quite the handful to drive around here.  They’re not easy cars to drive.  There’s a lot of horsepower in this Toyota motor and they’re quite heavy compared to the sports cars I’m used to driving.  It just takes a little time to adapt to.”

DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Freight Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 14th
How was your qualifying lap?
“We are a little disappointed because we thought we had a shot at the pole. We got loose in turn five and lost a little bit of time, but overall it was okay. I think we should be pretty good tomorrow.”

ROBBY GORDON, No. 7 Speed Factory Toyota Camry, Robby Gordon Motorsports
Starting Position: 15th
How was your qualifying lap?
“I’m pretty happy with it.  To be honest, I’ll be very surprised if it holds up.  Going out early definitely helps because it’s going to get hotter as it goes on.  But, it’s been beautiful weather here at Watkins Glen.  It’s been between the 70s and the 80s all weekend long.  I enjoy it.  I always love coming here.  We worked really hard on our race setup.  I think my race setup is better than my qualifying setup.”

JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 Home Depot Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 18th
How was your qualifying lap?
“It was okay.  It was a decent lap.  I messed up turn one a little bit, drove up a little bit too hard.  Besides that, maybe lost a little bit up the ‘esses.’  We were a little bit on the free side, but nothing bad or nothing terrible.  I just messed up a little bit at the beginning of the lap and lost some time.”

MARTIN TRUEX JR., No. 56 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Starting Position: 25th
How was your qualifying lap?
“Not too good.  Not good at all, actually.  I don’t know.  We’ve been struggling here and I’m not real sure what’s going on.  We were good at Sonoma and we typically always run well here.  We’re just struggling with the car being really loose this weekend and we can’t figure it out.”

MICHAEL MCDOWELL, No. 55 Toyota Camry, PRISM Motorsports
Starting Position: 26th

MAX PAPIS, No. 13 GEICO Toyota Camry, Germain Racing
Starting Position: 28th

DAVID REUTIMANN, No. 00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing

JOE NEMECHEK, No. 87 Toyota Camry, NEMCO Motorsports
Starting Position: 37th

P.J. JONES, No. 07 Speed Factory Toyota Camry, Robby Gordon Motorsports
