Series History

During its first four seasons and 144 races in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), Toyota has visited victory lane 33 times, recorded 24 pole positions and registered 129 top-five finishes. Kyle Busch earned Toyota’s first-ever NSCS win at Atlanta Motor Speedway in March of 2008. In addition, Toyota has been represented in the ‘Chase for the Sprint Cup’ championship playoff in each of the last three seasons — with Busch, Denny Hamlin and Tony Stewart in 2008; Hamlin and Brian Vickers in 2009 and Busch and Hamlin in 2010.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Dec. 1, 2011) – Toyota was honored with the 2011 NASCAR Marketing Achievement Award today at the NASCAR NMPA Myers Brothers Awards held at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. Toyota’s Sponsafier, PitPass and Owners Hospitality campaigns, among many others, directly engaged millions of NASCAR fans through the implementation of an integrated social media campaign as well as an at-track fan activation display.
