Biography

Cruz Pedregon will continue to steer his Snap-On Tools Toyota Camry Solara to victory lane as an owner/driver in 2011. As the son of racing legend Frank Pedregon, and having been in the drag racing arena for over 20 years, Pedregon is no stranger to competition. Starting in alcohol dragsters in 1987, it didn’t take long to hit his stride as he won six races in 1990 before moving up to Nitro Funny Car in 1992 — and winning the championship, as well as Rookie-of-the-Year honors. In 1999, Pedregon moved into the team owner/driver ranks and has remained a top competitor in the sport. In 2008, he won his second Nitro Funny Car Championship.
