During the 20 years Forrest Lucas spent as a truck driver and owner of a nationwide long-haul trucking fleet, drag racing wasn’t a priority. He and his wife Charlotte founded Lucas Oil Products in 1989. While president of Lucas Oil Products, Forrest Lucas recently took over ownership of the Lucas Oil Racing Top Fuel dragster, piloted by his son Morgan. The Lucas name is well-known in motorsports as it has been branded across the drag racing spectrum as the title sponsor of the Full Throttle Series event in Brainerd, MN and the entire NHRA sportsman series (the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series), among other motorsports and the NFL (as title sponsor of the Indianapolis Colts’ new stadium) for some time. Lucas Oil Products is an industry leader in lubricants and fuel treatments.
