DIXON LOOKS TO EXTEND DOMINATING RUN – Larry Dixon arrives in Englishtown this weekend looking for his sixth victory and his fifth in the last seven races. Coming off a win in Chicago this past weekend, Dixon has now compiled a 20-2 elimination round record over the past six races. In addition, he’s reached the semi-finals or further in six consecutive races and has stretched out a 135-point lead in the Top Fuel point standings.

His dominance has extended to qualifying, as well, where he has run the fastest time in eight of the last 11 qualifying sessions over the past three races. He’s currently tied with fellow Toyota driver Antron Brown for the lead in poles this season.

CLIMBING THE LADDER – Larry Dixon moved into sole possession of second-place in career Top Fuel wins with his 53rd career victory in Chicago.

LAST YEAR AT ENGLISHTOWN – It was a match-up of two Toyota-sponsored drivers in last year’s Top Fuel final at Englishtown as Larry Dixon defeated Antron Brown for the victory. Ironically, each of the three Toyota drivers that weren’t victorious in Englishtown were beaten by fellow Toyota-sponsored drivers. In addition to Brown losing to Dixon, Brown eliminated Morgan Lucas in the second round, while Shawn Langdon fell to Dixon in round two. In Funny Cars, Cruz Pedregon advanced to the second round, while Del Worsham lost in the opening round.

DIXON’S JERSEY DOMINANCE – Few drivers have ever dominated a single race track like Larry Dixon’s done at the Old Bridge Township Raceway. Dixon will be looking for a record-tying sixth Englishtown victory this weekend. Among his five triumphs are four in the last six years as he was victorious last year, as well as in 2007, 2005 and 2004. He also won at the track in his 1995 rookie season.
