Del Worsham will make a return to Top Fuel from Funny Car in 2011. Since making his professional debut in 1990, Worsham has 25 career victories and is seventh on the NHRA’s all-time Funny Car wins list. After being named NHRA Rookie-of-the-Year in 1991 at age 21, Worsham became the youngest driver ever to win a Funny Car event. In 2005, Worsham won the prestigious Mac Tools U.S. Nationals and the $50,000 “double-up” bonus for also winning the $100,000 Skoal Showdown. After registering one win and a 13th-place finish overall in 2008, he joined the Al-Anabi Racing team in 2009 and earned three victories in the team’s inaugural campaign to place seventh in the championship race. He followed that up in 2010 with a sixth-place overall finish, advancing to six semi-finals and one final. He also was the top qualifier at Las Vegas. His quickest pass to 1000 feet is 4.038 seconds his top speed to 1000 feet is 313.15 mph.
