Stringer Motorsports made its NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut in 2009 with driver Gabi DiCarlo. In all, the team made eight starts with DiCarlo, Jason Leffler, Brent Sherman and Brad Sweet sharing the driving duties.

The team announced a part-time NCWTS schedule for Sweet in 2010, with primary sponsorship from Great Clips. The team hired veteran crew chief Trip Bruce -- who won the 2008 NCWTS championship with Toyota driver Johnny Benson -- to guide the team.
