BUSCH TAKES THIRD-STRAIGHT TUNDRA TRIUMPH AT NEW HAMPSHIRE - Fifth Win of 2009 for Kyle Marks Five-Straight for Toyota

LOUDON, N.H. (September 19, 2009) -- Kyle Busch won his third-consecutive NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race -- and fifth of the 2009 season -- Saturday afternoon at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Busch led four times for 75 (of 200) laps around the one-mile New England oval, using a quick splash of fuel during late-race green flag pit stops to pass eventual runner-up Ron Hornaday Jr. and third-place Kevin Harvick for the win.

“We came down and had a quick pit stop and took four seconds of gas which we probably needed about four and a half to be a little bit safer but we made it,” said Busch, following the race. “We seemed to hit on something a little bit better -- not quite as good as the 33 (Ron Hornaday) or the 2 (Kevin Harvick) but there at the end we were out front when it mattered and had just the right amount of fuel in order to make it.”

Busch started second in the Billy Ballew Motorsports No. 51 Miccosukee Resorts Tundra, taking the lead from pole-sitter Mike Skinner on lap 17. Battling a chattering right-front tire for the final 60 laps, crew chief Richie Wauters elected to take four seconds of fuel during the final stop, enough to take the checkered flag before running dry en route to victory lane.

Running a limited NCWTS schedule, Busch has won in his last three series starts -- at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway and New Hampshire. Busch won back-to-back races earlier in the season at Auto Club Speedway in California and Atlanta Motor Speedway and has finished in the top-10 in 10 of his 11 starts this season.

It also marks the fifth-straight series win for a Tundra, including a pair of wins by Mike Skinner at Iowa and Gateway coupled with Busch’s ‘hat trick.’ It is the first time since joining NCWTS competition in 2004 that Toyota has won five-straight races.

With the victory, Busch has now won a race in all three NASCAR national series – Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series – at six different race tracks: Bristol (Tenn.), California, Chicagoland, Dover (Del.), New Hampshire and Phoenix.

Stacy Compton (sixth), Brian Scott (seventh) and Mike Skinner (eighth) also finished in the top-10 for Toyota on Saturday. Compton matched his best finish of the season, also finishing sixth at Martinsville in March and Milwaukee in June.

Tundra drivers T.J. Bell (12th), David Starr (13th), Terry Cook (16th), Timothy Peters (19th), Tayler Malsam (20th), Aric Almirola (21st), Max Papis (22nd) and Todd Bodine (24th) were also in the field.

Skinner remains third in the unofficial NCWTS standings following New Hampshire, now trailing leader Hornaday by 246 points. Toyota drivers Scott (fourth), Bodine (sixth), Starr (ninth) and Compton (10th) are also in the top-10 in points after 18 of 25 races.

The NCWTS returns to action at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Sept. 26.
