NASCAR Camping World Truck Series

• Brian Scott (third) was the highest-finishing Toyota driver in Saturday's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at The Milwaukee Mile, driving with a broken wrist he suffered last weekend at Michigan.


• Todd Bodine (fourth), Stacy Compton (sixth), Tayler Malsam (seventh), David Starr (ninth) and Terry Cook (10th) also posted top-10 finishes Saturday for Toyota.


• Tundra drivers Brian Ickler (15th), Timothy Peters (18th), Mike Skinner (19th), Aric Almirola (20th), T.J. Bell (28th) and Jason Leffler (29th) were also in the field.

BRIAN SCOTT, No. 16 Albertsons Toyota Tundra, Xpress Motorsports

Finishing Position: 3rd

Can you talk about your race today?

It was good to get a top-five. I feel like we're a top-five team week in and week out. We've just had a rough couple weeks. It's good to start to get some consistency and some good finishes. Of course you want to win every race, but third, given the circumstances that we had, was good. We started off and it was teamwork all day. Just make the right adjustments in the pits. Have good pit stops. Stay out under green. We were going to come in the next lap when the caution came out. That helped us out a lot. We were a long run truck. We were really good the longer and longer we went. It seemed like we would start off a little slow, but at the end of it, we were running a couple tenths faster than them and started to pull back the gap that they spread on me. I just wish this race was a longer race. I think with another 50 laps, we probably would've kept moving forward and forward. Our truck got better and better. It would've been interesting to see if it was a longer race. Jeff Hensley (crew chief) made good calls and we had good pit stops. The Albertsons Toyota Tundra was really good when it counted -- and that was at the end."

What was the toughest part of the race for your broken wrist?

"Going through the gears was hard, and it was just hard in race situations. Once I went into the corner, I was pretty much stuck there. I couldn't change the line or juke to get to someone's quarter panel. Ultimately, that's why I got into Todd (Bodine). I was established and rolling the center better because he was tight and I couldn't do anything once I ran up on him other than hit the brake. You just can't afford to do that with these restrictor plates. It's just so much momentum. It was a good day, though. I'll take a top-three with a broken wrist any day."

TODD BODINE, No. 30 Copart Toyota Tundra, Germain Racing

Finishing Position: 4th

What issues were you fighting with your truck?

"We were just way too tight. We struggled a little bit in practice with it. We made some changes for the race. We just missed it. It's still a good day to come back to fourth. I was worried about those kids. I guess Colin (Braun) got loose under me and moved up the track and James (Buescher) was coming -- he was faster. I was glad there weren't any more laps. Ron (Hornaday) has a little points lead on us on this Copart deal, so we have to do better next week."

Did the day race affect your truck?

"That doesn't make any difference. Whoever says that is full of malarkey. The race track with the sun just has less grip. If you're loose, you're looser. When you're tight, you're tighter. At night, the track has more grip and the trucks handle better. We were just too tight right from the start."

STACY COMPTON, No. 60 SafeAuto Insurance Toyota Tundra, Wyler Racing

Finishing Position: 6th

How was your truck in the race compared to practice?

The guys did a great job on the truck. The truck was good yesterday in practice. We were really good in the first practice. The second practice, when the sun went away, we got tight. We adjusted a whole lot for the night conditions and we had a lot adjustability built in it. We got shuffled to the back twice and were able to get back through there. We were really good on long runs. The truck was a little bit too free on the early runs and about 10 laps in, it would take off. I'm awful proud of the guys. We needed it. We had three really good trucks the last three weeks and the results haven't shown. We have been running in the top-seven the last few weeks and have not been able to finish. We had a little better truck than where we finished, but we'll take it."

TAYLER MALSAM, No. 81 One Eighty Toyota Tundra, Randy Moss Motorsports

Were you happy with your truck today?

"Our No. 81 One Eighty Toyota Tundra wasn't to our liking today. We were just really, really tight no matter what adjustments we made. But, like always, my Randy Moss Motorsports team never gave up. Doug (Wolcott, crew chief) and everyone on this team gave it all they had. To come away with another top-10 finish at a track that I haven't raced on before is awesome and a testament to this team. We will take this run and head onto Memphis next week."

Did you experience handling problems during the race?

"We were pretty loose since we unloaded but thought we had it pretty race ready. With the change to the day race we had to chase the truck and were headed in the right direction until we got caught a lap down when we came in for fuel and the caution came out. We'll go see what we can do in the Miccosukee Resort Tundra next week in Memphis."
