CBS Atlanta. The track crew had a huge 90-foot obstacle jump built for the event called the “quad” as it consisted of four humps. Justin Brayton was the first rider to make the leap during media interviews on Friday morning.
Both Michael Byrne and Justin Brayton transferred from their heat races into the main event. When the gate dropped for the main event Brayton rounded the first turn in fifth position with Byrne tangled in mid-pack. Byrne started moving forward, breaking into the top-10 on lap two, and up to seventh at the checkers. Brayton, who has been very consistent all season maintained his top-five position throughout the race finishing fifth.
