Pink Supercross at Angel Stadium


HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (February 14, 2010) – Pink was the theme at round six of the AMA Supercross Championship at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. In support of the Susan G. Komen Three-Day 60 mile walk for the cure to be held in major cities across the U.S. throughout 2010 (learn more at http://www.the3day.org) Feld Entertainment, Inc. and Angels Baseball orchestrated the first ever PINK supercross race. The Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGRMX Team as well as many other teams arrived at the stadium with unique pink team graphics and gear in support of the inaugural event. Additionally, an auction will be held to raise money for the cause with items donated by the riders and teams this week on ebay, the details can be found at http://www.supercrossonline.com.

Justin Brayton and Michael Byrne qualified for the main event directly out of their heat race, finishing first and fifth respectively.

In the main event, Brayton started in sixth position with Byrne in 10th. Byrne moved into ninth on lap two, and then up to eighth on lap seven with Brayton still in sixth. Brayton and Byrne held those positions for the remainder of the race finishing sixth and eighth.

The action from Anaheim will be broadcast on CBS today at noon (EST). The seventh round of the 17-race series will be on Feb. 20 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. The original broadcast will air on Feb. 21 on SPEED at 6:00 p.m. (EST).
