Brayton and Grant in Geneva and Brisbane
Brayton Travels to Switzerland and Grant to Australia HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (December 6, 2009) – Immediately after finishing first and second at the Genova Supercross in Italy, Justin Brayton and Josh Grant traveled to Switzerland and Australia respectively. Brayton raced the 24th annual International Supercross Geneva in La Voie de Moens, Geneva, a two night event held on December 4 and 5, and Grant was off to Brisbane to race the final event of the second annual Australasian Supercross Series on December 5.
On the opening night in Geneva, after winning his heat race, Brayton found himself involved in a first turn pile up that left him on the ground in the main event. He restarted his YZ450F and started making his way forward, moving up to seventh at the checkers. On the second night Brayton rounded the first turn cleanly and won the main event. Brayton’s 7 - 1 finishes earned him second overall. The top-five were as follows:

3. Davide Degli Esposti (Italy – Suzuki) 4 - 3
4. Josh Hill (U.S. - L&M Yamaha) 1 – DNS
5. Marvin Musquin (France – KTM) 12 - 2
In Australia Josh Grant suffered a hard crash in practice injuring his knee. Sore and bruised but determined to race, Grant lined up for his qualifier. He got a poor start but was able to work his way to the front and win the heat race rather easily. In the Australasian Supercross Series there are three seven lap main events with the combined results determining the overall winner. As luck would have it the skies opened up before the first final and by the time the gate dropped it was deluge. Grant did not get a good jump in the muck and the need to constantly dab with his feet in the muddy ruts took a quick toll on his injured knee. Not wanting to jeopardize his health for the upcoming AMA Supercross Series, he decided to pull off from the quagmire to protect his knee. Upon his return Grant will undergo an evaluation to determine the extent of his injury, but at this time he is expected to be at his full potential for the opening round of the AMA Supercross Series on Jan. 9, 2010 in Anaheim, Calif.
