Both riders won their respective heat races, creating the expectation of a duel for the win between the teammates. The event was the final round of the European Supercross Series.

In the first of two main events, the recent Bercy Supercross winner Brayton led all 12 laps for the win, with Grant finishing sixth after a mishap caused him to go from the front to nearly last place on lap three.
